Founded in 2016 by Emily Adams Bode, BODE is a brand known for its unique approach to design, sustainability, and intricate embroidery, with an interesting collection of bold colours, prints and materials. Each piece is tailor made and expresses a sentimentality for the past through the study of personal narratives and historic techniques.

Sitting at the centre of the collaborative project is a revamped version of the Nike Astro Grabber, one of the Swooshes oldest silhouettes originally released in 1976. The sneaker itself is reminiscent of the Nike Cortez, the shoe that acted as the foundation for the brand and was designed by Nike’s co-founder Bill Bowerman. This is the first time the Astro Grabber has ever been revisited outside of a 2020 Air Jordan 1 Low with a colourway named after the old school silhouette.
