Is The Yeezy Foam Runner One For The Future?

A closer look at the highly sought-after Yeezy Foam Runner MXT Moon Grey and Sand colourways.
The latest Yeezy model to release from the lauded collaboration between Three Stripe retailer adidas, and Kanye West, saw sneaker enthusiasts frantically trying to secure their pairs when they launched in March.

Releasing in two earthy tones: Sand and MXT Moon Grey, the futuristic slip-on – constructed using traditional EVA material, along with an algae-bases foam – boasts ventilation ports throughout its one-piece upper, as well as a non-slip insole, and herringbone detailing underfoot for grip.
The Sand iteration sports a tonal beige look throughout, while the MXT Moon Grey boasts a dual-tone grey and beige colour scheme which appears to represent the moon's surface.
adidas' futuristic Foam Runner silhouette divided opinion when it first surfaced back in 2019, before it released via West's Yeezy Supply website in the middle of last year – selling out almost instantly.

Since then, we've seen celebrities such as Justin Bieber, Kim Kardashian, and Kanye West himself rocking the unique shoe.
Branding is pretty minimal on the Foam Runner, with the only adidas logo in sight appearing under the outsole, as the German streetwear giants round out the design.
