The OFF-White Air Force 1 ‘Lemonade’ is here.

The newest addition to the OFF-White Nike Air Force 1 line has finally arrived after much speculation of its possible release at Virgil Abloh's latest ‘Figures of Speech’ show in Boston last weekend, at The Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston (ICA).

With what seems to be a very small number of pairs being available at the event, a further release was held on the 10th July via the Nike SNKRS app.

However, much to the disappointment of many sneakerheads across the globe, particularly in the US, the sneakers were released as part of a Boston SNKRS Stash release which allows individuals to locate special ‘Stash’ spots in their city using their location to gain exclusive access.

Despite Nike recently releasing the groundwork for getting a W on the SNKRS app, making it seem like they were almost completely watertight from bots and scammers, many people still managed to trick the app into thinking they were in Boston by changing their location and managing to secure a pair from the other side of the country.

Featuring a new all over bright yellow makeup, the new OFF-White Air Force 1 keeps similar details to its predecessors, including the metallic silver swoosh stitched onto the medial and lateral sides of the shoe, with the classic “AIR” emblazoned on the midsole. With the usual addition of the zip tag hanging from the laces as well as the deconstructed ankle support, the new colourway is arguably the most eye-catching take of the AF 1 to release thus far.

While the newly coined ‘Lemonade’ colourway doesn’t seem to be reaching the same hype levels as the previous ‘MOMA’ release or the ‘MCA’ colourway, the resell prices still managed to shoot up by over 100% on the resale market.

While these were initially a US release, the sneaker community are silently hoping for a wider release around the world. However, with each of the OFF-White Air Force 1s referencing a specific university in America, it may be a pipe dream.
